Dogs with Jobs

I got this from the local library. It's by Merrily Weisbord and Kim Kachanoff. It has a nice chapter in it on Mas, the italian water rescue dog. All the chapters on various dogs have been interesting so far and it has nice pictures.

Mas was on a Dogs with Job program on the National Geographic channel this winter. It was interesting to see the actual Mas training other dogs to jump from helicopters... Remember, Mas was portrayed in a Eukaneuba commercial here in the US.

It's going to be on Wednesday night at 6:30 on the National Geographic channel. I haven't seen it yet either.

By the way, their web site lets you send yourself an email to remind you. Reminders are something I need lots of.

Newfmom, I see you are in northern virginia. We live in Ashburn. They are having the water trials at Lake Accotink at the end of May that we want to go to. We just love to be the human minority in a crowd full of Newfs Hope to see you there!

Yogurt, I don't know how I managed to miss your last post. We are going to try to go to the demo too. It's kind of tentative because our son has been out with mono and he's going on an all day field trip tomorrow. If he's not comatose, we'll try to come.

Thats so crazy, I watched that a little while ago.
I cant belive that people here know him and those dogs. Is the dog in the Eukanuba(spelling)comercial one of his dogs?
