Is that the same as DGP by American BioSciences? I just bought some of this, it says it supports mobility and flexibility. I bought mine for my small mixed breed rescue Penny. She is not yet 3 and has terrible hind legs. I'll post something after I've tried it out.

Great. Monty is not having any serious issues just exhibiting a little stiffness after rough housing and heavy play so I just started him today on a turmeric, boswellia, and tart cherry supplement that I bought for myself. Penny (she is about 37 lbs.) is on the DGP and one pill a day at is clearly not enough. Penny's hind knee joints have really bad conformation (her legs are almost completely straight) so goes the fallacy that mixed breeds are necessarily healthier.

There is a great natural herb called Devil's Claw......we used it both on horses and elderly dogs in the past. the dogs seem to like it.

GDP. I'm going to finish up the bottle and move onto something stronger for Penny. Any thoughts? She is a 37lb mixed breed high energy rescue. I already give her Green Dog Calm when I can tell her hind legs are bothering her and she needs to "slow down."

Gracie was on Microlactin 1,000 MGM twice a day for the last 3 years of her life, the vet version is Duralactin but up here in Canada that wasn't available. She did extremely well on it and walked without help until the last week. I don't know if that is worth a try for Penny? Otherwise I suppose you may need anti-inflammatories?

Evan gets a few days of Metacam every so often as he has arthritis in his front legs.

Thanks for the info Angela. I have prescribed anti-flammatories for her but was trying to find a natural supplement that would be easier on her system and still give her some relief. Then save the heavy duty stuff for when she gets older or bad days.

Have you tried Glycoflex? Arthur has been on this for years and for an 11 yr old he is doing really well.
