Dog Food - How much

For those of you who have Newfs around five months old. How many cups of dog food do you feed daily? James started with 2 cups a day somewhere along the line I increased it to 2.5 cups when should I go to 3 cups? I feed the Eukanuba(?).

I don't have a puppy at this time, but my breeder (and other I have talked to) says not to feed Eukenuba to Newf puppies. Too much protien, makes them grow too fast and you may have health problems when the puppy is older. Just what I have always been told

We feed Brady, who turned 5mo 4/17 2 cups 2x and sometimes 3x/day. He seems to have given up his noon meal. He weighed in at the vets at 77 pounds yesterday. According to the wt chart from Emmy Bruno's book they should weigh 79 pounds. So I guess we are doing ok.

Yogi will be 5mo. this Thursday. He weighed in on April 13 at 66lbs. More than we had predicted, but still well within the normal weight averages. I bet he's around 70lbs by now or a little bit over that. We feed him pretty much the same as Brady's dad--2 cups 2-3x per day. Mostly 3x per day, but sometimes Yogi isn't too hungry and will skip a meal or not eat a full meal. From what I understand, puppies will start to regulate their own feeding schedule so if he starts to not eat a meal regularly, it typically means he's ready for a cutback.
