The Reading Room has been quiet of late, so thought I'd mention a book I read over the winter "Dog Eat Dog by Jane & Michael Stern. The movie "Best in Breed" was based on this book. The book was published in 1997 so many of you will already have read it, I'm sure. I did see the movie & thought it was hilarious & the book certainly is too. It's non-fiction & certainly gives an interesting picture of the dog show business. It's not about Newfs, altho' a professional handler by the name of Alan Levine figures prominently in the book. He used to show my old Glory back in her "glory days". While I don't know him, I'm sure many on NN do.
