difference in hair

Ok, I have 2 black newfs and one landseer. My landseer sheds her white hair very much but not her black. I can grab her black hairs and pull and get hardly any hairs, but when I do this to her white hairs I get a handful of hair. Does anyone know why this is? I have had a complete CBC run to see if she had any problems but everything is ok. She has low thyroid but has been on medication since July. I really don't mind the shedding-kind of use to newf hairs everywhere
I just would like to know. At first I thought it was my imagination since I could see the white hairs better, but there are many more white hairs than black. Even when I comb all my girls, I get much more hair from her than the two blacks combined and most are white hairs. No she is not mostly white she is closer to 50-50
Thanks

Thats funny cuz in our house its just the opposite!! Our landseer sheds only about 1/10 if that much of our black!! When Maggie (landseer) does shed it is the white hair more than anything. When I brush her I end up with a small handful of white hair with a few black hairs in there(I think shes just trying to add so contrast
) But Jo Jo (black) I dont know why that dog isnt BALD!! Since we got her we now have to vaccum daily and I still get 1/2 of a plastic grocery bag of hair everytime I brush her 2-3x a week!! We're thinking maybe once she settles in more (shes only been with us since just after turkey day) the shedding will slow down. But then again we also have a theroy that this is why shes so much more petite than Maggie. She has to put all her growing energy into growing hair so shes not bald so she couldnt grow as big!! Where as Maggie retains the hair and puts the growth into the body!!

Lets see, my two landseer girls shed a lot when in season. the white hairs stand out more becouse the texture is more stiff where the black here is not as visible becouse it is very soft and light.
they shed equal amounts of both but at times seems the white is more.
emmett the irish spotted hardly sheds any white.
instead has a wicked undercoat and he is high maintenance becouse of his gloriously thick coat.
