My wife and I spent all night driving from Denver, Co to Springfield, MO its about a 760 mile trip one way to pick up Aristotle from the breeder. When we finally got there we met Marcia the lady who sold us the Newf pup and we also got to see her Kennel. She was a very nice person and her kennel was very clean. All of her newfs had great personalities. (I think I was lucky to escape there with owning only one newf) LOL Aristotle our Puppy has the cutest personality and a very sweet disposition. Did I mention he is very smart?
Well he is very smart!
The first three or four hrs of the trip he laid on my wifes lap and appeared to be studying us. He didnt mind drinking the water we constantly offered him on the drive but he didn't want anything to do with his puppy food. About hr 5 my wife suggested we stop at Mcdonalds and order him a cheeseburger not to mention the fact that we were also getting hungry ourselves. I said "a cheeseburger?" She said "I never met a dog that didnt like hamburgers" So I grudgingly gave into her suggestion. ROTFLMAO I never seen a puppy enhale food that fast, the little booger almost took my finger as an appetizer. I was completly surprised that when I had my double Quarter pounder about 2/3 of the way eaten that Aristotle was wanting more! I couldnt resist, With a bit more caution and a healthy new respect for his chompers I tossed him the rest of my burger. He ate that and a 1/3 of my wifes chicken sandwich. You would think he was full at this point, but "nope" you guessed it he climbed into the backseat
and started eating his puppy food. I truely believe from that moment on we became his new family. He did great the entire trip back he never got sick or had an accident in the car. When we finally got home he was introduced to our 120 pound German Shepherd (Lucky) and our 40 pound Chow/Retreiver (Cricket). They both wouldnt stop smelling his butt or in more polite terms saying "Hello". Aristotle finally just sat down to stop all of there "hello's". On day two he is already
adjusted to his new home and found his own personal spot to lay down. No shock to myself or my wife just coincidently happens to be about a foot away from the dog dish. The Saga continues......LMAO
