Cherry eye

Can cherry eye occur along the side of the eye furthest from the nose? When I look for photos online, all seem to be in the inner corner.

Moosh's eye has been really red, runny and somewhat swollen for a little more than a day. Tonight it looks like the inside (red part) of the bottom lid furthest from her nose is swelling out.

Thoughts??

Molly's will do that when she's having an airborne allergy attack. Hers is from irritation. The Vet gave me some ointment for them when they get irritated like that. You can also get some drops.

When her allergens calm down, the eye goes back to normal.

Ahh ok that sounds promising. Thanks I thought it may be allergies or irritation because she's been into the mud and dirt a lot over the past week. But it just looks so uncomfortable so I was worried...

Thanks for the well wishes. I feel so bad for her.
Not sure it's an insect bite, only because there aren't many bugs around this time of year. It looks like an infection... resembles cherry eye but on the bottom outer edge instead of the inner corner.

I'll probably take her in to see the vet tomorrow just in case she needs drops. Poor thing wakes up and her eye is almost crusted shut

Yes..vet. It could be an infected hair follicle in that location, rather than cherry eye.
