Today Chase and her brother Elwood are 12 years and 10 months old. Chase is still doing very well. No signs of weakness in her rear end. She cannot see clearly but does fine. She has more selective hearing which is OK with me. :new_smilie_colors1:

Such good news! I'm hoping she will beat Hugo, who was almost 14. I know she can do it!

Hugs to you, Chase, on this mini anniversary!

Samantha, who is Chase's Aunt, live to be over 14. I think Chase got the genes for a long life. She is defiantly not showing her age.

Hey Jeannie! I just checked in to see how Chase is doing. Elwood is doing well but is getting very weak in the rear which is flipping me out. However for a dog with terrible elbow displaysia, a heart murmur, lap par tie back, and a concurrent malignant tumor remove he is great! He’s happy, goofy, and a giant pain in the rear!!!!! He’s sending snitches to his sister!

I am glad the only 'problem' Chase has is bad hips. I have never told her she has bad hips and she have never had any hip related problems. She can get up easily and squat to potty without problems. I'm glad. By this age my other newfs were getting weak in the rear end. Adam didn't make it to 12 1/2. Samantha (Chase's Aunt) lived to be over 14. I hope Chase got those genes.
