Canine Olympics

So, our county's Humane Society had their Canine Olympics event today. Siri and I went to support our therapy group and also to enter the costume contest.

Siri meets a handsome newf friend named Bourbon.


Then she entered the costume contest as a Catholic schoolgirl:


Second place! (darned kids win every time) :lol:


Great socialization for her, and we had a blast.

They called him not approved by the Newf Club, haha. Really, though - he's a rescue from SCNC. They also have three black Newfs but they didn't come to the Olympics.

OMG - I think I helped transport Bourbon for Rescue. Although his name was not Bourbon at the time. I wonder if he is the same. I hope so - he looks great. Thank you for posting. I love to see the ones we helped on this site.

Aw...I think you guys should have won too. I love Siri's costume and think it was very, very original. Sure looks like a fun day!!!

I think he's about 2 and they've had him maybe a year or a little more? Has hip dysplasia but they say he's doing well - he is a total sweetheart. Loved him.
