can teething cause loose stools?

I know children can go through this but don't know about puppies. About 10 days ago, my pup started losing some teeth and has since had some mushy poops. Some are firm, some are mushy and some are half and half. Previously, she had firm, solid stools. There hasn't been a change in food or any treats given.

Has anyone exprienced this during the teething stage?

Mack had that as a problem, I think the discomfort causes it, I added boiling water to his kibble and made a pate for a week or so so he didn't have to chew it too much, it seemed to help (of course made sure the food was cooled off before I gave it to him).
