Bridget Carlsen seminar

I just spent 3 days in a working spot with Tiika at a Bridget Carlsen seminar here in Ottawa. Wow! I am overwhelmed with all the new things to try. It was absolutely amazing!!! Thanks to Newfiemom for recommending the seminars to me. Just wish I could have known about her methods 5 years ago when Tiika was a puppy, but it's never too late to teach old dogs or old owners new tricks!

Isn't she fantastic??? She's going to be in Syracuse in March and I am going back. I have seen some changes in Ursa using Bridget's methods and we will be ready for Open in the spring.

Do you know who's offering the workshop in Syracuse and when exactly it will be?

Proudly presents
Bridget Carlsen Obedience Seminars
March 9th and 10th, 2013 9am-5pm
See our website: http://sotc.info for directions.
Bridget has been training dogs for over 30 years. She has put 52 titles from obedience, field and agility on 7 Golden Retrievers and a Norwich Terrier. Her accomplishments include 6 OTCh’s 9420 lifetime OTCh points, 168 High in Trials, 218 High Combines, and multiple perfect 200’s in both Open and Utility.
She has the first and only Obedience Trial Championship (OTCH) on a Norwich Terrier “Hemi”. Bridget and her Golden Retriever “Soupy” won an individual placement at the prestigious CRUFTS Dog Show in England while representing the USA. She is also an accomplished field trainer, putting Master Hunter (MH) titles on 5 dogs.
Bridget’s training style is very innovative. She is creative and thoughtful continually developing new ideas and tailors her training to address the reason for whatever problem the dog may be experiencing. Bridget’s primary goal is to develop dogs that like to work. While she values accuracy, she does not want a dog that is just “going through the motions” with no love for his work. Her dog’s animated attitude come from her ability to play with her dogs, be sincere in her praise and maintain a great working relationship.
Saturday - Advanced, Open and Utility
The Open and Utility classes contain all the interesting tasks that are fun for the dog. Yet, many dogs and handlers “hit a wall” when training and maintaining these exercises. Bridget will teach students how to break down and teach these and then provide the proofing and motivational technique required to maintain a consistent and confident performance. = 20 working dogs.
Sunday - Motivation & Problem Solving Seminar
Bridget will assist working teams and their training problems based on the information from the questionnaire, as well as her assessment at the seminar. The goal of this seminar is to give each working team several solutions to take home. This seminar is limited to 15 working handlers.
A working questionnaire will be forwarded to ALL working handlers and will need to be completed 2 weeks prior to the seminar so I can forward them to Bridget.
Those attending the Problem Solving Seminar Sunday will receive a “problem solving questionnaire” for the working teams, also to be completed and returned 2 weeks prior to the seminar,
*All dogs to be crated* *Lunch and refreshments will be served both days*.
