Books in spite of kindle.

I want to hold it in my hands, turn and feel the pages. Give me a real book any day. Now, I may change, and probably will. I held of on a microwave for a very long time. But, there's something about a real book, a library, our library in our house. No, as for me, I'll take the real thing.

I have the large Kindall, and absolutely love it!! It is easy to take with you wherever you go, and living in a small town it is quick to get a book I want without having to leave town to do it. I also do not have alot of used books laying around anymore.

Love my Kindle!!! Still enjoy the smell and feel of a book once in a while, but the Kindle is so much more portable! So many "plus's" to the Kindle to go on about here!

Art got an ipad and I LOVE the book reader on it. I was never very impressed with the Kindle for me but the Ipad feels much more like a book. You turn the pages, the size is nice and you can even see the print on the other side of the page as you turn the page. You can also change the font size on the book.

As soon as I can I plan to get an Ipad too. The ipad also has an app to let you read kindle books. It's also great when commuting on the train as it fits easily in a small space. It doesn't have as many books available as the kindle does yet but hopefully that will change.

I do admit, I love the smell of book paper, but I have a really nice size library of old (1800's to early 1900's) books, along with a more up-to-date collection, so can go whiff whenever I feel the need. Nothing like real leather bound books with vellum, gilt edges, stitching and hide glue. But I think I will love the Kindle. I'm all psyched up for it, now, and am hating having to wait a month to get it.

Of course, I'm still anxiously awaiting (has been decades) Smell-o-vision which was alluded to when I was very young. And watching the food channel today makes me think we need Taste-o-vision, as well. LOL.
