Blue skin??

Brenda when Jake was a puppy his skin was blue and the vet I had then said it meant he would have sensitive skin (don't know how reliable that was)now I don't see the blue since Jake has gotten older and he has never shown any signs of having sensitive skin. Bailey doesn't have the blue hue to her skin so I know this isn't any help but just thought I would add my 2 cents.

Rory had very blue skin when she was a pup! If you parted her fur, it looked really blue! Her belly wasn't blue though, but on her back, etc, it definitely was. Funny!

How strange...I had forgotten about it! When we took Ajax to the vet the first time we asked him about the blue skin. The vet said it wasn't blue, it was the light, or an illusion from the hair follicles or something, but it sure looked blue to me. Not bluish, either, but extremely blue. But his skin isn't blue anymore. Thanks for helping me remember that

Thanks for your answers. I was told that newfs have blue skin on their backs and pink bellies. Kodi and Riley both do, so I was wondering if it was just the black newfs that did?
