Barrett Jackson auction

Anyone watch this? I love watching it! I am just totally amazed at some of the prices the cars bring. I loved watching Caroll Shelby's car auction off for 5 million. Can't imagine WHERE the people who buy these make that kid of money, especially considering the guy who bought Shelby's car also bought the Futureliner last year for 4 million!!! I'm a GM girl, but found myself totally drooling over the Boss and Shelby Mustangs. (I'm thinking the 69-70's..that range are the ones I totally dig.) I was probably driving my Dad nuts...I knew he was at home watching, so I'd call him off and on going OMG!! Look at THAT!

WOW, I am impressed with you two ladies. Very cool. I love to watch the auction and drool.
There's no room for newfs in the backseat of that Boss 429 though

That's ok if there's no room for the Newfs...cause I have a feeling there's no room in the back of the police car either for one when they're hauling me off to jail! LOL

Mustangs? Cobras? Shelbys? Feh!

My first car was a real classic! A 1959 Nash Metropolitan!

(This is a picture of a 1960, but you get the idea...)

I bought the car for $100, drove it all through college, dang near til the wheels fell off. It had a 1000cc Austin powerplant, ( the same engine as in the MG Midget and Austin-Healey Sprite) had a three speed on the column and got 40 MPG. I once left Seattle with $20 in my pocket, drove to L.A. and still had cash. ( Gas was .30 a gallon then...) Dang I wish I still had that car!
