Barking

I have read in some of the older posts that using Mr Lemon? or lemon juice to stop the barking. How do you do this if the little guy is outside at nite and barking at god knows what, probably his shadow. Do you call them in and squirt the juice in their mouth or do you try to do it while they are barking? Of course with Jake, he will probably like the stuff.

Go get him and squirt it in his mouth. Never call a dog to you and punish him. He will learn very quickly not to come of you do.

I was counting on the lemon juice to curb the night time puppy barking. At first Yogi didn't seem to care for the sour taste, but just the other night I took out the lemon juice because he was barking at us while we were watching t.v.---god forbid we weren't paying enough attention to him
Yogi saw the little bottle and starts licking it. I squirted a little bit in his mouth and he just licked his chompers and came back wanting more!
Oh well, back to the drawing board....

I used it on Samantha because she barks at everything. She hates it. When she starts barking I just say "Want Mr. Lemon?" and she shut right up

I originally posted the Mr. Lemon topic. I used it for Kodi only when he would sit and bark at me for no reason as a puppy. I used the Real Lemon in the squeezeable container. It worked! Today, he still knows who Mr. Lemon is. If he starts barking, now a much louder bark and I ask him if he wants Mr. Lemon, he starts to salivate and drool. It really is comical, but it does do the trick
