These cookis I have found are made of totally natural, fresh ingredients...vegtables and fruit. The dogs go nuts for them..! If you want a truly great treat you cn write to
Merrymutts@hotmail.com for details..you won't be sorry, believe me.
no fat, no sugar, and even a variety for allergy.

Julie sent our fur babies some for Christmas and they love them so much I plan on taking some with us to Florida for Beau for in the show ring to keep him animated and alert!
I emailed her since I plan on keep some around all the time and they are only $8 a pound. :D

Who makes these? Is this a company or a hobby-style business? Is there a Web site or something I can go to for more information or is it only a hotmail address (rather sketchy if you ask me)?

I make my own! tonns of recipees out therre, it is very easy to do, and, you control the ingredients that go into the treats.
freezing them makes them last longer. ;0)

She's evidently just getting started. She doesn't have a website yet, but I sure told her she needed one. They are wonderful, the only drawback being that they need to be refrigerated so they stay fresh longer, the drawback being now everytime I open the refrigerator, my dogs all come running in. You might email her and ask if she would send you a few in different flavors or if she has a trial size. I guarantee once your dogs taste them (still floors me how excited mine get) you'll be back for more.

Hi all....EVIL DOG COOKIE woman here.....

Karen & Julie....thanks for the kudos on the cookies.

yes...I am indeed just getting started with the dog cookies and I truly believe that I can offer a healthy, quality treat for your Newfs.

If you;d like more information on the cookies or to order, you can send me an e-mail @ merrymutts@aol.com

Warning....due to the brouhaha which has thankfully now died down from Newf-L....AND which generated a LOT of interest and orders....there is definitely a backlog. I will be baking lots this long holiday weekend so if you;d like to place an order I will log you in but you will not need to pay until I notify you that your order is ready to ship. I think that is the fair thing to do....

Sounds fair to me!!

Can you push me up on the list? Since you're the one who guided me to the plight of Chance & Lucy at Adopt A Golden Atlanta...increasing our herd to 14!! (I did thank you profusely for that, didn't I??)

We NEED lots and lots of cookies! Chance and Lucy said so - since you ARE their honorary Aunt Susan you know!!

.... Here's some basic information on the cookies......and there is a Opening Special....will run through the end of January 2007.....

******************************************************

I started baking these cookies because I wanted my dogs to have something fresher and healthier to eat than what was offered in the local grocery chains and pet supply stores. I played around with several recipes and the list I posted seems to be my own dogs' favorites...although I swear some days they would eat garbage cans if I served them.

At the present time I have:

APPLE/CRANBERRY APPLE/PUMPKIN VEGGIE/PARMESAN

SWEET POTATO/CARROT APPLE/CARROT

Each of the varieties can be made wheat-free if your dogs are sensitive to that grain. I substitute Rye Flour for those. I hope in the future to come up with a reasonably priced grain-free variety for dogs with IBS or other intestinal issues.

The treats are made from fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and contain no added sugar, salt or fat or chemicals and of course no corn or soy products. Because of this, the treats are very low in calories so even a dieting dog can enjoy a healthy treat on occasion.

I add the bakery stabilizer Sorbic Acid ( a form of Vit C ) so the treats do not require refrigeration although if your dogs like them as much as mine do you may want to keep them safely tucked away in the fridge to extend the shelf life.

I truly believe that I can offer a healthier treat alternative for your pets. I know my own dogs go nuts over them and my husband's little Beagle, Penny, will now totally refuse any treat does not come out of my oven....and as Susan Garrett said so well....the magic ingredient is LOVE because I do enjoy baking these treats.
