At the vet

I was reading GAD's post about droping Cozy at the vet and how frightened she was... Our vet has a different practice and I loved it. We took Misha to the vet, we waited a while for out turn and then the doctor gave her some sedative in her mouth - there in the waiting room. We stayed there until Misha was already sleeping. A guy then took her in and we left (he was strong! - it's not easy to carry a sleeping newf). We also agreed with the vet that we would come to pick her up when she'll be waking up. So we came back to get her in a couple of hours and there she was all sleepy and fuzzy. We waited a while at the vets and as everything looked normal we went home. So all in all Misha didn't even had the time to get scared about it.
Of course afterwards she knew something had happend, and she probably did feel some pain, but she used it big time. Of course I felt so sorry for her that I let her get away with it, so we played a patient and a nurse for about a week. I found out that it was mostly a game on one of our short walks - we met one of her best friends and they started to romp around - it took a lot of strenght to keep her still. Of course when we came back to the house, she was a poor week patient again.

What a wonderful vet you have. Talk about playing the "poor me" game. Sara knows all the angles and plays it very well. The sad part? I fall for it every time!!
