Anyone else experience this?

I posted this in the Health section yesterday but I guess nobody goes there as often as this general category.

If anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear about it.

My Bailey who is barely 5 months old had her lyme shot last friday and then last night she began to limp on the left hind leg where she got the shot.

Has anyone ever experienced this kind of reaction before? Or do you think that it is more likely that she just happened to twist that knee yesterday?

She had never cryed out in pain like she hurt herself or if you feel and press on the leg.

She has not been very interested in food but will eat wet food off of a fork straight from the can.

We have an appointment with the vet today...

I saw it yesterday but didn't have time to post. Could it be since the shot was given in the muscle that her muscle is sore? It can take a few day for a sore muscle to surface.

Let us know what the vet says

Ok Jeannie,

We are back from the vet who says that she is sore from the shot and she also has Pano.
Her knee is fine and there is no evidence of an injury.

So I am just hoping she will get over this and not experience it again while she is growing up.

I imagine it must feel like the ache we get after the teatanus shot...Hope Bailey is feeling better soon!

What food are you feeding? A puppy should be on a low protein food to avoid fast growth/pano. Never feed puppy food. Try to get a food that is around 21% protein.

My Chase had pano even though I was feeding her the same food I raised Adam. I had to change her food. That is when I switched to Canidae.
