Another Newf in a movie

Not only have I seen it but I happen to know that there are some NNers with some pretty close ties to Pappy ... that's the landseer that played that role. Unfortunately I think he died a couple of years ago ... is that right C?

Ya know, I saw that movie back in 2000...and don't for the life of me, remember the Newf.

Of course that's before I had a Newf, or even ever SAW a Newf in "real life"!!

OK...gotta rent that one and watch it again!

SAR...didn't one of your girls have some puppies by Pappy? I remember seeing the dog in the movie, but at the time I didn't know there was such a thing as a landseer newf. I thought it was some kind of St. or St. mix. (You guys have taught me a lot since then! haha)

Judy there MUST be...the movie is 4 yrs old!! And it has big stars in it, so I'd say yes for sure!

Pappy is Carmen's daddy!
So of course, we have it on DVD. The movie was not very good at all, in fact I found it pretty annoying, since the basic premise was about talking on cell phones... (aggrivating in real life AND on screen I guess!)
However, Pappy did a great job! He was very naughty in "Hanging Up."

I seen the movie and it was a very funny film,how ever I did'nt know what a newf was at that time and had no idea when I seen it I'd love the breed and buy one 2 yrs. later I'll have to watch it again now that I'm a newf lover

I saw it and enjoyed the newf scenes very much. Other than that, this just isn't my type of movie.

Didn't care much for the movie, but the dog was cute. The Newf is "Must Love Dogs" is much better presented. (Look out) In MLD the newf is a well behaved, affectionate girl who loves to snuggle and just be good. It is portrayed by two young girl newfs who were purchased by the writer/director. Gary David Goldberg (I think) said he would not do the film without newfs even though they light poorly. This one is going to really sell the breed and could lead to another onslaught of back yard breeding.

The newf is Pappy, i guess he is not that big in real life but what a beuty.
As for the movie... dont watch it the week your father in law dies... bad bad idea......
