Another new book

Far Out isn't Far Enough: Tales from the Back of Beyond by Tomi Ungerer. Received this as a birthday gift a few weeks ago. It's the author's reflections over a year of going "back to the land" in Nova Scotia. They get a Newfoundland dog. Beautiful watercolour sketches. It's an art book as well. I got the book, and the watercolors are beautiful, as are the drawings of the Newf. I just don't like the fact that he called the Newf "clumsy" - I think that is what he wrote. I don't have it in front of me. When I read that, I wanted to slap him upside his head.

:lol: Well, you should have seen Frankie in the bathroom with me just now! As he was trying to get out ... Aren't the illustrations lovely. I like it at least at much for his watercolours as his writing. Glad you didn't think your money was wasted.

Yup - told Newf-L about it as well. Suzi said she had ordered it. Hope the author (who apparently no longer lives in NS) appreciates my advertising!
