I too have found a new all natural food which I am trying and the dogs seem to love

Our policy on declaration of raw materials.

Unlike most dog food manufacturers we believe that the consumer would entirely approve of every single ingredient in our products, and because of this we would like to give details of these, together with the amount used. However, we have a considerable amount of investment in natural product research and, unfortunately, because formulations cannot be protected in law, we have to limit this information in order to keep it from other manufacturers. We can discuss ingredients more freely with individual owners. Please feel free to contact the free veterinary helpline on 01252 849756.

We hope that the information given below together with the fact that the product is BAHNM certified will provide confidence in our products.

All in One - Chicken and Rice Dinner

The natural diet of the dog is meat, carbohydrate and vegetable matter. The raw materials used in our products reflect this principle in a formulation which can be optimally digested and assimilated.

Our meat sourse is top quality protein from chickens not reared in cage systems. This is combined with a range of easily digested grain cereals and vegetable herbage containing essential nutrients once available to the dog through the predigested grasses and herbage in the stomach of its prey.

Analysis – Crude protein – 20% (100% digestible). Oil – 8.5%. Fibre – 3%. Ash – 5%.
Vitamins: A, Beta Carotene, C, D, E, K, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, B complex, Choline, Folic Acid, Calcium, Chromium, Iron, Magnesium, Phos, Selenium, Zinc. Plus all other essential micro nutrients.

Does not contain -
Artificial products of any description
Wheat or wheat gluten, maize, soya or any other cereals commonly asociated with allergy or intollerance.
Unsuitable by products or fillers

Helpline

We welcome enquiries about the raw materials used in our products. If you would like more information on ingredients or have a particular problem that you wish to discuss with an holistic veterinary surgeon follow the 'Contact Us' link on the left menu or the link to British Association of Holistic Nutrition and Medicine on the Home Page.

I am just hoping that 20% protein is enough for Winston.

it should have 22% protein or MORE
You need more than 4.0 k/cals per gram of Metabolizable Energy - (most adult only has 3.65 more or less)
Calcium should be around 1.5% or a tad less....
Phosphorus should be about 1% or a tad less ...

those are the guidlines many great dane people follow and giant breed owners, there is more to a food than just the main ingredients.

Thank you for replies

Sometimes you can look at something and not see what is staring at you in the face and only see what you want which is why it is so nice to get other opinions.

Searching for the perfect dog food to suit both dogs is hard work.
