A Stretcher You Must Have!!!!!

On one of the other boards I got a lead on stretchers and slings being sold by the Northland Newfoundland Club as a fundraiser. The stretcher is $55 (includes shipping) and the sling is $35 (includes shipping. I ordered both. I didn't think I'd get to use the stretcher so soon. It's amazing. You won't find anything like it out there at this price. One of my Babydoll sheep was attacked by a predator. After vet finished stiching her up, loaded her on the stretcher and we carried her safely back to the barn (it has wide straps on both sides which secure with velcro to keep the patient still. Also 6 fleech covered handles for carrying) My vet can't wait to order it. The sling is cool too. Best of all- money helps a Newfie club.

I have the stretcher too. Very pleased with the quality. Fortunately, I have never had to use it..but it comforts me to know that we could get our dogs to the truck if they ever needed to get to the vet and weren't able to walk on their own. I didn't order the sling..because we have a large canvas log carrier with handles that I could use for a sling if I had to.

I just received the stretcher as a gift from Uwe's 'grandparents'. We hope to never use it, but are glad we have it!

Thanks for the info, I ordered the sling & stretcher today. It would be nice to have on hand just in case it is needed, hopefully not. Koda weights 128 pounds, it would be hard to get him in the truck without one.
