Since Brady was neutered, the dangle doesn't happen. As far as the jumping goes maybe he is trying to show he is the man and a dominant thing. The drooling, well we tell people don't come over if they don't want the drool.
Brady did go through a phase of jumping, but he is not 11 months and that has passed. Maybe it is just a phase.

We've noticed that Sailor will occasionally have "a dangle" and he is neutered. I'm not sure why this happens, nor have I noticed any pattern... it seems to go away on it's own.

As far as Luca's behavior with guests, I interpreted your post to mean that Luca is just over exuberant when guests are in your home. If that is the case, some training will probably help to put an end to this behavior. I would keep Luca on a Leash. Make Luca sit as the guests are entering your home. Once everyone is seated, allow Luca to greet each guest. If Luca lunges or behaves inappropriately, correct the behavior. Be sure to reward good behavior with lots of enthusiastic praise. You may even want to have your guest(s) reward Luca with a treat if he behaves well with them. As far as the drool… well….. other than supply your guests with towels, there's not much you can do about that. LOL!

Actually, towels for drool are essential, no matter where you go or where you are… even at the dog park!

Jake gets over excited when people come to the house too, even ones he knows well. What I have started doing is putting him on a 2ft leash so he has to stay by my side so far it seems after he has said his hellos and the company has been here around 10 minutes or so he just settles on his own and I can take the leash off. As far as the drool goes, most everyone that comes to visit are warned in advance and given a towel LOL. Sometimes I even arm them with bitter apple especially if Jake decides he wants their shoes while their feet are in them.

I'm glad to see Bubba's not the only 'happy guy' in this group. It's pretty much a given when he sits down, it comes out. He's not fixed yet.
I asked about this here a while back, and seem to remember an adult neutered male still 'dangling'.
As for the other, he also sniffs and makes a general pain of himself when company comes over, I just put him in the down stay for a few minutes then he's fine.

Thanks for the info..i know about the drool thats not so much of a problem as is the "Dangle" and the Jumping...He currently is going to school so we will see if his behavior changes.......Maybe after i get him fixed the dangle will diminish....

Thanks again

Hehe Rudy, the "dangle" is still always present with Jake and he was neutered at 4 months and he is now 8 months. Not always present 100% percent of the time but still there, haven't a clue when and if it will ever quit.

Well, I guess all of us moms with boys have the "dangle" !! Bear is also overbearing with company, so on goes the training collar and leash, but he is getting better. He just wants to be loved, loved, loved !! He is almost 9 months old, so hopefully a lot of these puppy habits will change as he matures, but then again I look at my DH and he still has a lot of his puppy habits (excluding the dangle of course !! ) I can't believe I said that !

I have to share a funny story about dangles.... please bear with me.

Years and years ago, in my past life as a single woman living at home with her Mother    , we got a cocker spaniel puppy named Spencer. He was neutered at 6 months, and enrolled in obedience school. I was the "handler", my Mother the critic.... never practicing at home, yet always willing to tell me what I was doing wrong. Oh well, I digress....

One night, as we were getting ready for class, Spencer had a "Dangle". My Mother was horrified. She was worried that something was horribly wrong, since he was neutered. She had me chasing him around the house, with a cold cloth. Both the Spencer and I were horrified. Our vet's office was already closed, so, before I knew it, I was on my way to the emergency vet clinic, with Spencer and his dangle. Spencer, was completely moritfied by our very peculiar behavior.

The worst part was that she was too embarassed to go with me... so it was just me and the dog.
By the time we got to the clinic, and I had to go through the embarassment of explaining why we were there, the dangle had disappeared!!!

I can still hear the snickers and giggles of both the vet and his staff. Luckily, I had my Mother's credit card, and she got to pay for this particular folly.

No one could have made that story up!
Annie, you are so brave to share!!

I hope you used that to your advantage later, when your mom had all the answers.
