Oh boy do I.
My daughter and I started a pizza business from scratch and ran it for 2 years until more and more competition convinced us to quit while we were ahead. We had a lot of fun, made a lot of friends, made a small profit and both of us kept our nurse's liscenses so it wasn't too bad.I have been a self-employed nurse ever since then because I like the independance. It takes a lot of self-disipline to run your own business but there are many benefits.I am fortunate in that my daughter truly is my best friend and we work well together. I think the worst thing is self-employment tax, it is terrible.

My brother and I grew up in my Dad's business. He's a mason turned independent contractor. I'm curious now!! LOL
