I don't pick Aristotle up until July 23rd, I live in Denver Colorado and I am going to drive to Springfield MO. Its about a 760 mile trip one way. My wife and I think it would be pretty scary for the puppy to be shipped. I read a behavior study on the Internet that says a puppy is most likely to retain a tramautic experience between eight and ten weeks old. Not sure if its true but why take the chance! (smile) Besides I love road trips and its a great excuse to get out of work.

What a little sweetie, I bet you can't wait to get him. We had to drive about 350 miles each to get our boys, it was well worth the trip. Drive careful.

Website Link Removed
Here is a link of the breeders website.
(smile). I have seen a lot of websites and they keep there website updated on a regular basis. Marcia is the name of the breeder, she is great about sending emails and answering questions about her litters.

Moderator Note: GAD's rules strictly prohibit advertising for breeders, and that is why I have removed the link. Annie

Alpha Goddess
First of all, let me state that Ari is adorable!!!! :D

However, by now you've seen that I've had to step in and remove all mention of the breeder as well as a link to the breeder's website. I was contacted via private email by another Newf Netter. GAD's rules apply to everyone. We have to be diligent about "enforcing" the rules. Jeannie & I have done this before and I'm sure the need for us to do so will arise again.

For the record, GAD's rules state:

The following list of content will not be tolerated and may be closed or deleted at my or the moderator's dicretion:

Newf (or any animal) "To a good home" postings

Advertisements for or endorsements of any breeder for any animal

Foul language of any kind

Personal attacks of any kind

Endorsement of or planning of any illegal activity (even in jest)

I am not trying to lay down draconian laws - I am merely trying to make everyone aware of the rules so there is no question why we may close or delete an offending thread in the future.

Rules suck, but hopefully these are obvious enough to make sense to us all. For details on the whole "Now Newfs for adoption" problem, check out This Thread

I should also note that the following posts are encouraged:

Requests for help of any type not listed in the above section

Requests for breeder information via email (i.e. not on the board)

Pictures of your Newf have always been, and always will be highly encouraged

The moderators will use this post as a guideline in their actions, as will I. These rules may be altered at any time for any reason, etc. etc., Habius Corpus, Hakuna Matada, E. Pluribus Unum and so-on...

Thanks for your time,

UPDATE 5-29-03:

The following additions to the rules are now in effect. Consider them retroactive.

People will be given one warning for the following offenses. Two warning will be considered grounds for banishment and in some cases forwarding of the collected information to the proper authorities.

1) Harassing anyone in any way.

2) Making slanderous or libelous comments about anyone in any way.

3) Threatening anyone in any way.

4) Advertising a breeder of any type in any way. Please note that showing a dog’s pedigree is not advertising a breeder.

5) Advertising animals for sale or "puppies available" posts of any kind.

6) Repeatedly posting topics which get locked (i.e. stirring the pot or intentionally causing trouble). This does not mean two locked posts in a row. It means don't be a troublemaker.
