the first being the Hide-a-Squirrel....

its called Egg Babies by Plush Puppies, Ozzy got one for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! Same basic principal as the hide-a-toy series, this is a turtle ( we call her Tilly) who carries three plush eggs, which are really just covered squeekers, in her "belly". Ozzy takes them out over and over and plays with them. Definitely a hit and SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN THE HIDE A SQUIRREL!!!! I think I paid 18 and change for the squirrels and this was less than ten dollars.

I paid $10 for the hide-a-squirrel and it was also a huge hit here. Another one is the ICube. Which is a very colorful box with shaps cut out of each side and inside are 4 sqeeky balls.

Keegan will extract them all playing for hours and then bring them all to me to be put back in the cube. Quite a hit!

So along with the ridiculous cost of houses here in Ma., apparantly massachusetts hide-a-squirrels are over priced too!!!!!

Luckily our overprice housing market has not lead to higher hide-a-squirrel prices. Hopefully it will stay that way... :D

Here's an idea... while looking through pet care cataloge like Petedge, Omaha Vaccine, Care-A-Lot, that very nice discounts are offered for those who buy in quantity.

So... before the next NN gathering, if there's a toy that is normally pricy, maybe we could order in quantity, and take advantage of the savings!!!! :D

Ha! Carmen has that turtle, too, and she Looooooves it!
Imagine in the evening one of us saying, "Carmen, where's your turtle?"
She cocks her head (listening - you can imagine the gears turning in hear brain), hops around a couple of dimes, and runs over to her toybox, nosing stuff around until she finds that turtle. She throws it in the air a couple of times, and then "gets down to business" as she pulls each one of those turtle eggs out. We do this again and again and again in an evening...
Great toy!

i am going to buy all of the dogs on my xmas list these for their presents! every year i end up at petsmart with so many toys-the cashier last year asked me just how many dogs do you have? if i am counting correctly this morning there are 12 dogs i need to buy for. i have only my sharpei and my lab but i get everyone in the family a gift and all of the pups surely are family. i can hardly wait until xmas when they get them and open them-its quite a sight.
