11 week old with possible UTI

Noel our 11 week old is peeing 4/5 times each time we go out. Smeeling because she is dribbling, crying during the night when she was sleeping through it. We called the vet and they want a sample... tell me how to get a smaple from a 11 week old - the vet suggested a cup on a yard stick.. this little one pees on the ground - not 6 inches up! Any words of advise how to do this and how to treat her along with antibiotics would be helpful.

I had to get a sample when I got Panda because she did have a UTI. Anyway I used a pie pan. They don't need very much urine. Take your newf out on a lead to pee and be quick with the pie pan

Same basic thing here but I used a frisbee turned upside down. The key is being quick.

Just a note on the pie tin. I first used this, an aluminum foil one and the noise startled my then puppy. So I now use a plastic one, less noise. Also I found it helps to just put your pup on a leash, follow it around and as soon as it squats your there so to speak. You don't need much for them to read.

Rory had a UTI at about your pup's age. It seriously hindered toilet training. Shre has an incontinence problem now and we feel the two may be connected (not to scare you). Not to say the urinary tract infection caused the incontinence, but vice versa. We're still looking into the incontinence, tomorrow we're going to the vet actually.

We too had to get a sample - no easy feat! At least you've got lots of opportunities to, seeing as your pup is going frequently. We used a aluminium tray.

Cranberry capsules work wonders for the ladies, they are prone to UTI in fact penny is in full blown heat right now, and yup, she got one so along with the antibiotic, she is getting 2 capsules 2 times a day for 10 days.
i would do a regime, of 2 months off the cranberry, than do the 10 day doseage.
than off for 2 months, than on for 10 days.
it really helps them a lot.
