Hello! I am new here as of today. We are in the process of either adopting a new Newf (1yr old male unneutered) or a 3mo old female. Can anyone advise which is better for my situation? I have 3 young children under 5yrs. I want our Newf to live inside with us - but we have a huge yard for him/her to play outside w/ my children. I don't want a male to mark territory all day so I was thinking to neuter him. Maybe 1yr old is too late and he will mark anyway? Is he too old to housebreak? He is currently living with a breeder and her other Newfs but he lives in the kennel - not in the house? Please advise if you can on my concern re: housebreaking a 1yr old, unneutered male marking all over the place and a female temperment vs. male regarding my children.
