Hi and thanks for the comcern

Most of the problems have been in the Southern part of Iceland in one of our main Farming area. Due to this eruption being under a glacier, a fair amount of flooding has occured, destroying some roads and pastures, but so far no buildings. Humans and animals have thankfully not been hurt. Due to the huge amount of ashes from the volcano air traffic in Scandinavia and Northern Europe have been stopped but hopefully not for too long.
This eruption is the second one in 2 months - the first one started in Fimmvörðuháls, between Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull in march (that one was just a great tourist attraction
) and only about 24 hours after that volcano stopped the volcano activities started in Eyjafjallajökull and is supposedly at least 10 times as big as the first eruption. Our main concern is that the most dangerous volcano in Iceland is Katla in Mýrdalsjökull (another galcier) and if that one erupts we will definetely have more problems.
Here are some fantastic photos taken of the first eruption, by a german photographer who has a fascination for volcanic eruption:

Due to our Icelanic spring weather (rain, wind and poor visibility
) photos and videos are not available of the action but as soon as the skies clear one of the webcams might come in handy:

Icelanders are used to the constant activities of Mother Nature and we just continue with our daily activities and hope for the best and that this one will be just another tourist attraction
.
