I wanted to take a minute to tell you about a product that I have tried for my Bear. For a VERY long time I have been battling skin problems with him. His ears have always been an issue, along with the skin on his chest and, most recently had started to erupt on the front of his legs. It would wax and wane, but most of the time was very red, smelly and sometimes oozy. We tried A LOT of different things. Antibiotics would clear the problem until the round was over about a week or so and then would come back. Hydrocortisone would do the same, but the problem would always come back. I was spending $56.00 a week on food with no added ingredients and then went to raw for a while and that never licked it either. Even though he was always happy, I knew it wasn't good. It would go so bad sometimes I would just shave his chest down and literally cry because it wouldn't clear up. Would get better, but never go away. The vet likened it to eczema and said that every new eruption was a new vunerable spot I would have to watch.
Well, a friend recommended a supplement to me, Nu-Vet Plus, so I figured why not. I ordered a 60-day supply (30 days actually, one tablet per Newf per day - figured it couldn't hurt Bumper in the least) and what a REMARKABLE difference. My baby has white skin in his ear flaps and on his chest for the first time in LONG, LONG time.
I called the company and spoke with them and found out that the supplement had originally been formulated with the Newfie in mind, not soley, but it played a big part. I expressed my happiness and they asked if I would like to spread the word !! I am not a salesperson by any stretch of the imagination. I am just a Newfie owner who loves my babies and am so happy I found a good thing for them. Definitely all natural ingredients - because I am also a VERY FUSSY Newfie mom. So, the word is spread. I just want to again say, please don't think I am making a sales pitch here, because I have a job already, behind a computer typing all day !! I wouldn't even say anything, except it really was a huge help to my Bear. I took a picture of the skin under his front leg in the chest area that I will try and edit onto this post so you can see how nice and healthy it is looking as compared to just a short while ago when it was so red and irritated looking.
