What now

Chase just now turned 18 months so I can't show her in puppy classes anymore. I was wondering if I should go AM bred or Novice. I thought about Novice since she has no points. But I was told Novice is not good to show.

I never had to make that decision with Adam as he got his first BOB at his 2nd show at 6 1/2 months.

I am going to show Chase at the Owensville Show. It is an SCNC supported entry

AM bred it is. I am not going to Lexington this year. I will be at Clermont County near Cincinnati though.

This gets tricky! Only experience on a particular curcuit will tell you what other "Frequent Flyers" on that circuit will likely enter their girls in, so you will do the opposite. On the circuit Judy, Tulsa and I are usually in, one breeder, as well as the pups she has bred and are now with their new parents always show A/B. Therefore, I enter in Open, to give mine a better chance. Other areas we have shown in, the opposite holds true. Many feel that an "open" entry says, "Hey! Look at me! I'm ready to earn points." My suggestion: Prior to entering a given show, go to the AKC site and look up the last 2 years' results for that particular show. This could, of course, change, but it should give you an idea of who is going to be there and how they enter so you do the opposite of whichever looks more crowded!
