Westminster Hotels

So Journey made the invitee list to Westminster (Yeah! Cool!) and we are contemplating going.....was wondering if anyone on here is going with a dog and which hotel others are staying at?

The breeds are being judged at Piers 92/94.

Any input advice for first timer is MUCH appreciated!

No personal experience, but a recollection of what one exhibitor told me some years ago...that it was impossibly hot in the building, that there were requirements for benching that didn't help. You may want to check into that. She said she would never exhibit there again, but that's only one person's opinion. It certainly is an honor to be invited and could be a chance of a lifetime, so that's an argument for going and finding out for yourself. It may just be that you need to investigate and prepare in advance for the environmental challenges. Like can you use fans, how long do you have to bench, and how often or for what reasons can you leave the benching area, etc. My impression was that they were pretty strict.

I KNOW it will be a tough show to do.....benching is the pits......but it is something I think I'd like to do once. Now might be my only chance......

Yeah, I wasn't trying to discourage you from going, just passing on what I had heard. If I was invited I'd be packed already! LOL!

Congrats! It is crowded and warm there and the dogs do have to stay benched, but is a great experience. There is a list of hotels in the premium list.
