Thank you for the kind welcomes. As you may have guessed, my name is Rick, and I am the proud posession of a Newfy bitch we've named Marlo. Marlo came to us from a breeder here in WA, after she was returned by the family who first purchased her. They apparently had a special needs kid, and Marlo was just too much for them.
I can understand that, as she is *almost* too much for us. She's just turned 5 mos. We've had her for about three weeks now, and a greater bundle of lovable uncoordinated energy I've never seen. Luckily, my wife works out of the house, so Marlo doesn't get too lonely, (well, at least as long as my wife or I are not out of her sight for more than two minutes, but I digress....) but I think she (Marlo) has some issues after having been bounced back to her home kennel after a week with the "other family" She's starting to realize that this is her permanent home, and is taking great joy in terrorizing our Golden Retriever, Mojo. We have a lot of work ahead of us as Marlo is way behind on her training and manners, but she is eager to please, and we love her to pieces.
I look forward to availing myself of the vast storehouse of knowledge here, and will hopefully be able someday to make worthwhile contributions myself.
