Very Sad News about Chelsea

Chelsea died this afternoon while Pennie was en route with her to the vet's office. My only comforting thoughts are that she died with her loving owners and not in that hellish pond. She died after having received thousands of positive thoughts and support from Newf lovers around the world. She died knowing that her people were sleeping beside her and doing everything in their power to help her get well. The sweet girl fought to keep herself alive until all these positive things could take place and then she left. I'm glad you're pain-free now, sweet girl. God Speed, dear Chelsea.

I think people all over are crying with Penny this evening. At least Chelsea was with her people and she isn't suffering anymore. I am at a loss for words.

I hardly know what to say. I am heartbroken along with so many others. I pray that Chelsea's family will find strength in each other to cope with the loss of such a courageous loving little soul. There is a new angel in heaven.

Oh Pennie and family...we are so very sorry to hear that Chelsea's end came like this. We all cried and prayed with you throughout her ordeal, and were so relieved to hear that she had been found. The news became even brighter when she could come home to be with her family. This is such a sad turn of events. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Chelsea, Godspeed sweet girl. There are lots of our newfs and other fur-babies waiting at the bridge, who will welcome you. Be sure to be nice to that big orange cat, Caesar. He was the "favorite uncle" to all of our dogs.

It's a consolation that she was with her family and surrounded by love; I hope the wishes of so many of us give some solace to her people as well.
