From Ebony's foster mom.

"Ebony is learning that she has control over her life and can make decisions for herself --- This morning we were outside -- she headed for the door as usual --- upon getting to the door -- Kenzi and I were out in the yard I called to her a couple of times she thought about it and made the decision to come away from the door and come over to where we were --- she only stayed for a few minutes I took this picture --- Notice the HEAD UP and the tail is not tucked ---- She is starting to look like the pretty Newf she is"

Thank you for posting the update.

Years ago I fostered a girl who had always been tied. We had her out in our 5 acre field and all she would do is run circles to the right with each circle getting smaller and smaller. It took a few days but when she finally took off running across the field I cried. She ran from one end to the other over and over again. It was such a wonderful sight to see.

Great update on Ebony.

Jeannie sad story about your tied foster, thankfully a happy ending for her. It must have been an amazing sight to see her stretch her body running :)

Made my week complete!!!!!!
Mine too. I thought about her so much for the 4 weeks before a foster home was found. Some days, it made me almost sick to my stomach worrying and hoping we could help her, but not knowing exactly what was wrong.

What a difference in this photo from what I saw the day I evaluated her. I'm amazed to see her looking more relaxed and am SO grateful to Heart of America Rescue (HANR) for not giving up on getting her help. I hope she continues to progress quickly.

I'm still anxious about her having more surgery, though I know she needs it to get well again. Will just have to bottle up my emotions until this is behind her.

Will update if I hear any more.
