Ruby is driving me nuts. Ha.
She's really bonded with my husband more than me and listens to him without hesitation. I work with her constantly and we are getting better day by day.
But one behavior is super annoying and I'd love ideas. She only does this to me, and only when Rob is not home.
She barks to tell me she needs to potty. But runs away and continues barking loudly and spitting at me when I try to get her leash on her. She won't get close enough for me to touch her. But she will run up and bark and growl then run away. She thinks it's a grand game.
Ive tried ignoring her and waiting for her to stop. I waited 30 minutes and it never stopped. She will come and sit for a treat, but that's it. And it's still iffy.
If I catch her before she asks, she's fine. As long as I surprise her with the leash. If she sees me putting my shoes or coat on, the behavior begins immediately.
It doesn't matter how much exercise she's had.
I'm open to suggestions. Because it makes me want to tear my hair out. Or drink. And I can't because we are expecting another human child. So help?
