To neuter or not to neuter.

Can I get opinions on neutering? I am looking for my third Newf after losing my second last year. Miss him every day, but I know the process for a Newf puppy is long and requires patience. I've always had boys. Using the NCA to locate good breeders and also talking to as many Newf owners as possible, but I am getting mixed opinions. Most contracts say you cannot neuter until aprox 18 months, which I'm fine with. One breeder, who I really liked the look of, says she does not allow neutering of her male puppies at any age. Thoughts?

Each breeder has their own rules. You need to discuss this with your breeder and be sure you both agree. That being said you should not alter until 18 months. Of course, there are acceptations to every rule.
