Our poor Thea has been sick. 
She had finally gotten over a bad UTI and was off her antibiotics. Her appetite had been off while on the meds, but as they were the only ones working we pushed through it. On Friday she was a bit off, but then she went downhill fast over the weekend. She didn't want to eat, people food included, was extremely lethargic, and was acting miserable. We got her into our vet first thing this morning.
Turns out she is anemic. It isn't terrible, but her numbers are about 10 points off from where they should be. They are sending her blood work out and we should hopefully have some answers tomorrow. Our vet thinks it might be an autoimmune disease, but until we get the test results it's just guess work. They gave her fluids and a steroid shot while she was there. We have some anti-acid stuff to help her stomach. She also lost 10 lbs. since December and she has double ear infections.
It was really hard watching her over the weekend and having no idea what was wrong! This spring has not been an easy time with the Newfies. We have been trekking out to the vet about once a week over one thing or another. But we'll keep trekking out until have our Thea girl back to her old self!
I'm not sure when this picture was taken, but the laundry room is one of the girls favorite spot to sleep. Thea is brown, Malka and Jorah are in the back.
