The Final Chapter

Poor sweet Spirit is gone. Right now, I don't have much to say, other than I was so honored to have him, even if for such a short time.

You're free now Moo Cow. No more trouble breathing, no more gimpy joints; you're finally at peace.

I'll miss you more than you can imagine.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jane. We know you did all you could for him. His life with you was a happy one. Godspeed Spirit. Praying for you Jane.

I'm so saddened by the news. Seems the last few post about him really lifted my spirits. He was a special spirit/soul and will be missed. May you find comfort knowing that you both were meant to be together and you managed finding each other.

I am so very sorry Jane.

I recall, my late Sam and Spirit had a lot of the same maladies. They just never stay around long enough.

Again, I am very sorry.

My friend... my friend.... my heart breaks with you and for you. There is no one I have ever respected more than you for your combined wisdom and love for your precious angels. There is really nothing to say except keep doing what you are doing. Be that wise mentor for those who need you. As I did. You are loved and I am so sorry.

I just shot through to have a quick look and I find this devastating news that Spirit is gone.
Jane I am so sorry.... But he was such a lucky dog to have finished his life with you and be truly loved and cared for. I am so sorry for your loss... may you meet again one day. Run free with all our Angels Spirit, we have way too many up there. I am sure Piper, Hugo and Yogi will take care of him :(

I just am finding this too and am currently so shocked and sad and miserable and feel so horrible for you. You tried so hard and so did he. Peace has come to him and peace be with you. My husband (a Catholic Deacon who does a lot of grief counseling) always tells people that all must grieve in their own way. It is their right. Don't let people tell you time will make it better. It does not. But, in time you will learn how to deal with it better. Yes, they truly do take a piece of our heart. I sometimes wonder how I have a heart left, but that's when I realize, they each have left me a piece of theirs. One of the biggest pieces was left to me by this goofy girl to the left.
