Kira will be a teenager forever... I'm certain of it... she's just a little over two... she loves chewing anything that's hard plastic. I can't tell you how many barettes and hair clips she's destroyed... also, floppy disks and anything else that comes her way.

Russell has started playing the guitar recently, and he leaves his guitar picks lying around. I've warned him, but............... .

It could be a whole lot worse... at least they're not out drinking and doing drugs!

Well, as Diane said several posts up, I do have my hands full with EMMA... If I get through this, I'll be grateful. Emma is 8 months old. She had been abused before she came to us which made her very bashful and she felt badly about herself :( :( :( .

So.... and yes, I know this is wrong, I let her do as she pleased. She had nothing asked of her. If she came to me, it was for affection and that's what she got.

Emma is now a major handful. She steals things (socks, paper wrappers, food, etc., etc., etc.) from right in front of me without so much as a thought about it being wrong. She still stands up at the butcher block to steal - even after she was scalded by boiling chicken broth a few months ago. She's a maniac on lead. Prong collar, here we come.

But, I do have faith that she will, some day in the far distant future, be a delightful girl. She is the sweetest girl, full of love and affection, but oh my, what a mess......

Thank heavens I have Molly who went through those terrible twos before her. I can still see a light at the end of this tunnel

Can't believe this thread is still going but since it is I thought I'd share maggies new thing. She doesn't do this to me but to my husband who thinks its funny to argue with her. He gets the big newfy nudge in the butt everytime he tells her no. Do any of you know what I mean?? When he turns his back on her, she takes her nose and pushes him in the butt. Then she backs up and waits for him to either chase her or hug her up!!! The thing we are working on the most is the way she greats guests in our home. She thinks that everyone is going to love her and want to play with her the same way we do. What a puppy
What a BIG puppy :D

We often refer to Boagie as stealth dog. You are standing there, cooking dinner turn around and a main ingrediant is missing... so is Boagie. You are sitting on the bed getting dressed. You go to grab your sock you just put on the edge of the bed so you can put the other one on. The sock is gone, so is boagie. you are certain you just closed the bathroom door so she can not get into the cat litter but she is alreay in the cat litter.
Then when you catch her with her ill gotten goods, she calmly looks at you, gets up and walks away. You go one way to get her, she turns the other way. It is not a fast game of tag, but like any other potential government weapon that carries the stealth title, she is very agile.
We have a few times seen some agression. Our vet told us to flip her on her back hold her by the throat like an alpha dog would do (use your hand not your mouth) and growl no. until she relaxes. My father thinks Im insane that I am talking 'dog' but it does work. Just in case,,,, I will keep the towel handy.

Oh please, you think dogs are comedians? then the cats are a riot. When I go to pick up what ever boagie has left on the floor (chewed toilet paper, box of laundry soap a $100.00 shoe she has all ready lost the match), Ichiro, our 16lb. 7 oz. cat comes from the abyss and lands on my back. This allows Boagie and Baby to hold me at their mercy giving me kisses... sometimes i just feel defeated by the 4 footed creatures in our house.
