Just wanted to give you all a little update on Norma....our affectionate name for her. She's doing pretty good! Instead of basement dwelling Stormie, we now have under the back porch dwelling Stormie. She took it pretty well that she no longer has access to the basement. She's getting around pretty darn well. The first back step outside sometimes does give her a bit of trouble but once she's over that, stand back and leave her alone!!:!rolling: She'll get up the steps by herself thank you very much!!:roflmao: She does very well in the house now and walks wherever she wants to go.
I haven't given her Tramadol all week. Just wanted to see how she did but I still have some if needed. She's now on Joint Strong which i've always felt is a fabulous supplement. It arrived a couple days ago and she's doing very well on it. I gave it a bit of pause for thought because they changed the ingredients and it looked and smelled different. Smells like the Tumeric I use and lo and behold, they did add that ingredient. Works for me, hope it continues working for her.
These old dogs do take some work, don't they? But they are most definitely worth it. 11 1/2 year old Maia has started peeing in the house. When she has to go, she lets if flow. Because of that, she's now crated at night and during the day when I'm gone. She was none too thrilled at first but she's taking it like a champ now so that's good. I may look into the Leaks no more product. Shouldn't hurt, may help.
All in all, I'm very thankful and grateful that things seem to be on an even keel for now
