Does anyone out there feed their dogs the Solid Gold brand foods? I have been looking at there website and a catalog I picked up and am interested in some feedback on it. If you do or have feed this brand of food I would love to hear what you thought about it. How did the dogs like it? Did it seem to make a difference in their coat, weight, overall energy level, etc. Which variety did you use and would you reccomend it.
Feel free to either respond to the board or email me directly.

Thanks a bunch for any input!!

After much discussion and debate we chose to feed Wallace (10.5wks) solid gold puppy food. The main attraction for us was the lack of fillers(wheat)and NO PRESERVATIVES. The main ingredient listed on the bag is Lamb, I think solid gold also uses millet (fish). The pet food store owner bills himself as a health food store for dogs. Wallace really seems to like it, the package calls for 3.5 - 4.3 cups per day for a dog of Wallace's age and weight, which I think is a little more than other brands. Wallace is thriving on it, so much so I may have to lighten his daily amount soon. Wallace is just a puppy so this may not help you out much but we did do alot of research before choosing. Our vet cautioned us on solid gold spoiling sooner than other brand due to not having preservatives, store in a cool, dry place. The rate Wallace is going I don't think food spoiling is going to be a problem.
