Snowboarding (small prayers)

Over the years here..I would run into situations where..not just IEP..but many types of situations..the homework was not being 'noted'..as turned in..at the point of the class/day..when it was..turned in. I told the parents to isolate out..the one teacher..who had a problem with it..then write a letter, make a copy for each 'staff person', up the chain of command..and hand deliver them..stating..that the paper would be handed to the teacher..WHEN they had the time to initial the homework schedule..carried by their student. Pre school time, lunch, break period or after..they would get the papers..WHEN they initialed it. Since I was a teacher..but outside the system..it helped the parents..but did not endear me..to a few, isolated admin. types. The problems were all solved..after an inital 'flurry'..of scheduling. The sch. dist is there for the parents..and should see themselves in the service, of the students and the parents. Once in awhile..a dist. starts seeing themselves as a Fifedom'..and that..can cause any number of problems..but dedicated parents..and calm preperations..can..work them out. Good luck, ina n HB

Prayers worked. We lucked out. He only broke the bone. Somehow he managed to crack the top of his humerus and tear out the piece of bone attached to the tendon without ripping any tendons.

We're headed for 3 weeks of sling followed by PT for another couple of months.

If all goes well it should heal completely.

Thanks all!
