Smelling pretty

To all you groomers out there...what is it that you spray on the dogs after grooming that makes them smell so good?

I love the smell of Crown Royale Magic Touch finishing spray. Not the liquor, but a dog grooming product. Expensive, but a little goes a long way. Or their bodifier. Smells the same and really adds to the coat texture. Comes in different formulas for different types of fur.

I quit using sprays on grooming dogs years ago. They tended to cause the dogs to itch. That being said one I keep on hand is Earthbath Deodorizing Spritz. You can get it at petedge.com

Thanks guys...I just love the way they smell after grooming...and the shampoo just doesn't give the same effect...by the way...I tried trimming Jake today...my oh my...how do you people do this for a living?? He was wonderful and just laid there but he looks a miss...maybe on a side note for groomers...teach a class...some of us would like to learn how to make them look presentable after all that winter snow mess and mats they inevitably get but my GOD he looks a mess...LOL

I've don't groom dogs laying down. They have to stand. Also if you have the right equipment it makes it easier. Get a table, good shears, thinners and dryer.

I groomed 3 newfs today including Big Sur who won the National Specialty and he was #1 newf. Love grooming these newfs for the Caesars.

Don't worry it will grow back and believe me you will get loads of practice.

Get good thinning and normal scissors but if you can hold them as some scissors feel right,others don't.get the best set you can afford��
