My precious rescue Monty was a pretty easy dog to walk unless another dog distracted him or strangers approached. My dog walker was well aware of his stranger danger guarding. Her teenage son would come on occasion to walk with them, and eventually walked Monty on his own. He has autism. Her boy would barely make eye contact with me but the minute Monty ran to him his face would light up and he became verbal and animated. When he walked him Monty would gently take the leash and very carefully walk the boy. Something you had to see but there was something going on there.
