It was 17 years ago yesterday, 3/20/04, we helped our first Newfoundland, Sara, cross the rainbow bridge. It is amazing the empty place in our hearts that still remains after all these years. I remember the day like it was yesterday - a beautiful warm first day of spring day. We got her as a rescue from HANC. She was 7 yrs old and we were her 9th and final home. She blessed our lives for 6 years, 1 month and 19 days.
