Raw food diet?

Hi everyone, It's only a week till we pick up our pup and we've already bought tons of stuff including food. We found a food called EVO and Wysong that is high in protein and no grains but then I read up on the raw food diet. In our family we eat alot of chicken and lamb and I grow quite a few vegetables. I'm actually thinking of doing it since doing the math for me it could be cheaper. and since I cook all my meals from scratch our pup would be basically eating our organic diet. Anyone have any suggestions And what do I do with the food we bought?

You can check out this thread:

And there are a few sites that can guide you through the process:

Unfortunately, Tug didn't respond well to the BARF diet, but is doing well on Orijen 6 Fish.
If you keep the bag, mix some in or treat with the kibble, you can use it for travelling or when someone's looking after your baby and is grossed out by the raw food :D
That's what a lot of people do here.
Good luck!

If you do decide to go raw, remember that you'll need more variety than chicken and lamb! And don't feed the kibble with raw that contains bones in the same feeding...there have been studies that show a shift in pH of the stomach acid and the bones may not be digested properly.

My 4 are all on a raw diet, but when I brought the latest puppy home, her breeder sent home some of her kibble. I fed baby girl the kibble till it was gone and then switched her to the raw. She is doing wonderfully.
