R&R at Saratoga Chowder Festival

Every year we attend the local Chowder Festival with the dogs. Basically, many local restaurants compete for the best tasting chowder. You purchase a small cup for a $1 and then vote. I think over 80 different chowders were featured including some dog chowders. :) R&R were surrounded by swarms of people and brought many smiles to people. So much fun and it felt good to be out when it was a balmy 40 degrees! Here are some pics of our day. Hope you enjoy. :)

Refreshed and ready to face the crowd. The report I read said there were 30,000 in attendance today at the event.

Making friends.

This photo op turned into a huge group of strangers taking their own pics of R&R with their phones.

There were even a couple of pot belly pigs!!!

And of course they got their chowder!!!

Yumm!!

Such a fun day! Thanks for looking :)

I wish I could have gone. Chowder and 40 degrees and Newfs sounds perfect. I was just thinking the other day why no one was posting pics of all the winter festivals up north. I love the pics and reading about them...thanks.
Hey you Canadians! Where are all the winter festival pics?

Thanks for the pics. The dogs look beautiful and well mannered.

Where are those shots taken? It's not Lake or Caroline. My brother's a firefighter for the city, so I've run around there a bit.

Thanks. The one with the snow monster is actually Caroline, the one and only street they closed off for the day. The one with the dogs getting chowder is on corner of Phila and Broadway. The rest were taken over by the city center. We walked both sides of Broadway but with so many people there was no way to stop to take pics. :)
Next time you are walking the streets of Toga' keep an eye out for R&R to say Hi, we are there several times a week.

What fun! Looks like they just about stole the show. :)

It is from the Honda dealer for a Pilot. Somehow it does not seem to stop any drool being flung through the mesh that almost always lands on Shaun's head for some reason. Makes us (maybe just me) laugh every time. lol
