Prey drive

Ella's training has been pretty good so far, until she discovered cats. We have several stray cats in the neighborhood and they have organized against Ella lol. My greatest training challenge with Ella has always been pulling on the leash. She does not do it all the time, but if she sees a child or familiar neighbor, she bolts to lick and greet them. This is not a problem if I see the stimulus before she does, however, she can spot these cats before I even see them coming. My trainer said she has a very high prey drive, and sometimes flees when being recalled. I don't know a whole lot about flee drive, but I deffinately see the prey drive with cats. The trainer wants to train me how to use a Star Mark pro training collar, but it looks intimidating. We only use positive reinforcement training methods and clicker training works great with Ella. I have used a gentle lead and harness, but both are obsolete if a feline is prowling in the bushes. I watched some videos on the Star Mark collar and my trainer said it is safe if used properly. Does anyone have experience with this collar, good or bad?
