Posting on Craigslist for Free Newf

I was pretty upset to see this today. I contacted Newpendel to see if they can maybe help get this dog to a loving home. Thought I would post here too...
Does anyone know who this dog or owner may be??? She is a beauty...How you could just give her away after 5 years is beyond me..

I have just rescued a newfie who was for sale on an Australian site similar to Gumtree....i finally convinced the owner that the pup (8 months) should go to newfie rescue and be rehabbed.....it takes some effort, but now he is withus for a while

I noticed the license plate too... it is posted in New Jersey but the car has Pennsylvania plates.. not that it matters, just thought that was weird. Someone suggested it was some sort of scam...

Very sad... She sounds like an absolute sweetheart. Hope the rescue is able to get her a good home.

I saw on FB that GAD knows these people. I think they have contacted rescue.

Just to clarify we don't know these people. A friend of mine posted on my wall that we should get another Newf and GAD commented (that's probably what you saw Jeannie) The town the Newf is in is pretty close to ours but all I did was contact New Penn Del. It's been taken down on CL and Sue Miller told me they tried to get in touch with no answer so hopefully they found a good home.
